Gabe and those freaky eyes of his…
Birthdate: April 23, 1976

Gabriel Damon Ladaei was born and raised in Reno, Nevada until the age of four when his family moved to Los Angeles because his older brother, Joe, was cast for a short role on a soap opera and had made a few guest appearances of TV shows. One day, after Gabe finished auditioning for a commercial, he visited the set to watch Joe act. He was noticed by Joe’s agent, who had just found out that Gabe had nailed the part in the commercial, and he set him up to make more commercials. By the time Gabe was seven, he appeared in over fifty commercials!

From there, he was later cast in the show, Call to Glory, which lasted two seasons. He began making TV movies and making appearances on some TV shows, his most notable as an newly-orphaned boy on Star Trek: The Next Generation. Although he was known as a troublemaker on the set (one prank by sticking his gum in an actress’s hair to ruin the take), it was still evident that he was very talented in his work. His voice also became famous, for he voiced the lead roles in the animated movies, The Land Before Time and Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland.

After finishing Little Nemo, his voice began to change and he was unable to voice kiddy characters in cartoons. He was then cast in the movie Newsies as the hunky leader of the Brooklyn newsies, Spot Conlon. That role won him thousands of fans, despite its failure in the theaters and the fact that he still hasn’t seen it. His career slowed from there. In 1995, Gabe was up for the part of Robin in Batman Forever and Batman and Robin, but because he wasn’t too well-known the part went to Chris O’Donnell.

He took a break from acting to concentrate on his education. He returned to Reno and enrolled at the University of Nevada to major in communications. After graduating, he returned to Los Angeles to make a guest appearance on the season finale of NBC’s ER. Afterward, he took a role in the poorly-written movie, Bayou Ghost as a favor to one of the producers. Although it was a terrible movie, Gabe’s performance was pretty good.

Gabe made the film Social Misfits in 2000. He has aspirations to become a writer and write poetry and science fiction novels. He has also recently visited the “Newsies World” and
signed this guestbook! The most recent news has found out that Gabe tied the knot sometime back in April of 2002.

Now working outside of the spotlight, Gabe starred in and co-produced the film Planet Ibsen, set to be released sometime soon.
