EXPLANATION
OF THIS SITE
First and foremost, thank you for visiting The Unofficial Dominic Lucero Site. I have worked extremely hard on this site, which was actually a year and a half in progress and planning. It was first set on March 20, 2000. But what exactly is this site all about? Just another fansite about an unknown actor? Well, that’s partially right. But I’ll bring out the details.
I have been a fan of Dominic’s since I first saw the movie Newsies in December of 1992 (it was a Christmas present to my sister). Once I first got the internet, I looked up Dominic Lucero online and found hardly any information, except for a few basics, and the fact that he had died in July of 1994.
This site is to commemorate Dominic’s life and career, but this is not a shrine. I felt that an information site would appropriate. This is also a site you can help out with by sending in information you may have, or just to offer suggestions or comments. Don’t feel compelled to help out in any way you’d like!
Wait a minute, what the heck is the whole miscellaneous part of the site about? This doesn’t seem to have anything to do with Dominic!
The miscellaneous section is more of a “fun” part of the site. Not that I don’t want the main part of this site to be fun, but it’s meant to be information and other things connected to Dominic and his career. The misc. section has things that have some connection to certain things Dominic was renowned for (basically Newsies and Roundhouse), and a few other things I felt like adding. Some of the things included are biographies for the cast of Newsies, a guide to Roundhouse, ribbons (both commemorative and random), links, and other things.
The information I have obtained has come from all across the internet, but mainly from certain sites. The main sites I have received information from are: Remembering Dominic Lucero, The Easychair Expressway, splitz’s Roundhouse Page, Yahoo! Groups: Remembering Dominic Lucero, and some information has been submitted by Kevin Stea. I am unfortunately not in contact with the Lucero family.
Remember, this site is an information site, and not a shrine. It’s just a site dedicated to a young man who has had a great impact in my life. If you’d like to contribute to or point out errors about anything on this site, please call 1-800-call-Seven-now.
