1,000 Tears Cried, One Life Lost

1,000 tears dropped from the sky.
It seemed as though the clouds were crying.
That one very moment, the world stopped turning,
the clouds stopped moving,
the sun stopped shining,
and the world became quiet.
The rivers stopped flowing,
the wind stopped blowing,
the babies stopped crying,
and the world stopped sleeping.
The whole world was quiet.
An angel flew down
and hovered over your bed.
He prayed the very last prayer you had said.
He cupped his hands and lifted your head.
He looked into your beautiful face,
and he saw all of your love and grace.
His eyes started to water
and his body became tight.
He picked up your hand
and held it in his.
He tried to say something,
but nothing could be said.
His heart softened
as he held your hand tighter.
He wanted to speak,
but the words didn't come.
He lifted your light free spirit,
out of your tired limp body.
He held you and cradled you,
in his loving arms.
His mouth opened,
although he did not speak.
As a tear slowly slipped down his cheek.
As his one tear fell,
a thousand more followed.
The clouds opened
as rain began to fall.
The angel lifted your spirit
out of the cold dark room.
He flew to the clouds
and before he reached Heaven,
he said the words he'd been waiting to say,
"Welcome home Dominic,
we've been waiting for you".
When the angel reached Heaven
he was surprised to see,
1,000 weeping eyes of the angels.
You're spirit came alive
and you started to walk around.
The angels lead you to a big golden throne.
You gazed in awe not believing your eyes.
You stood in silence as you looked
into the face of your love, Jesus Christ.
He got up and walked from His Father.
He put His hand on your shoulder
as He said "Welcome Home Dominic,
My Father and I have been waiting for you".
